Just after the January 12, 2010, earthquake in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, an intellectual bourgeois couple saw their grand mansion collapse and must adapt to their new precarious way of life in the ruins. In order to survive, the couple needs money and decide to rent the apartment. Here enter a stranger, Alex, whose nationality is not mentioned, works in humanitarian assistance. Arrived in Haiti just after the catastrophe, Alex came with a young 17-year old Haitian girl, Andrémise, whose modest backgrounds are distinguishable.
